Healing Heroes through Horse Therapy
Guiding Veterans to Recovery – Our Mission
Too many veterans struggle with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and face overwhelming challenges. The heartbreaking reality is that an estimated 22 veterans take their own lives each day. This crisis calls for urgent action and support.

To advance the long-term Emotional Well-being of those in our community, especially veterans, first responders, and at-risk children, through meaningful interaction with horses that help foster healthy relationships, emotional awareness, and personal growth
The Vision Statement
We imagined a world where, through the utilization of horses, every veteran, first responder, and at-risk child, could have the tools, resources, and support to live an empowered life and make positive contributions to their family and community.
Why Horses
Horses are highly sensitive to human emotions and can mirror the feelings of their handlers. Horses provide a non-judgemental and calming presence, which can be comforting for those who have experienced trauma.
Interacting with horses involves non-verbal communication and assertiveness, which can enhance personal relationships and social skills The physical aspect of caring for and working with horses can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, contributing to overall mental well-being.

Volunteering
Volunteers experience the satisfaction of knowing that they have made a difference in a riders life. If not for our volunteers, these riders would be denied the opportunity to experience the benefits that can improve their quality of life.
A desire to give back and help someone else is what drives our volunteers; it is gratifying to see the progress the participants make in their abilities; What a great group of volunteers the center has!
